Washington State Patrol suspects alcohol as being the cause of a fatal motorcycle accident in Seattle. They are investigating the crash that occurred around 4 a.m. On Monday, that killed a 23 year old motorcyclist who went off the freeway ramp.

Troopers state, the motorcyclist was headed southbound on I-5 ramp to eastbound I-90 when he hit the freeway barrier. The motorcycle stayed on the ramp but the rider was ejected over the barrier. He fell about 100 feet to the shoulder of I-5.

The motorcyclist was reported to be alive when emergency crews arrived at the scene, but he died from his injuries about an hour after he arrived at Harborview Medical Center

No other vehicles were involved in this accident, and no other injuries were reported.
