Sometimes you can get pretty burned out by going to different auditions for film or television roles. But, ever since I started talking to this voice over casting director I have really enjoyed this type of work. Since the only part of me they need for their production is my voice I can sometimes audition by just sending them a recording. If they want to hear more of my voice then I can go in and give them a few sample readings for the character they want me to play. Overall, the process is a lot less stressful than auditioning for the part of a regular actor in a series or movie. I look forward to these now because I can take my time with it and there aren’t a lot of casting directors evaluating how I look all of the time. I could really get used to doing voice overs if I can get some regular work.

The best surprises come when you’re not expecting it at all. What I mean is that sometimes you have a birthday coming up but a week before you get a gift. Well, it is a surprise, but it’s somewhat expected if the special occassion is approaching.

Last night was just a normal night just like any other. Nothing special going on at any time before or after. Bobby and I had just finished eating our dinner when our little Stacie came over for a visit. Stacie had just been to the theater to see a wonderful musical and loved it so much that she wanted us to go. She then handed over mamma mia matinee tickets for this coming Saturday. It was so sweet and I was hugging and kissing her until she then said that she got us matinee tickets because at our age, she wasn’t sure we would be able to stay up for the later show. I wasn’t as thrilled after that.
